Today, we honor generations of America's veterans – patriots who have stood on the frontlines of freedom and kept the light of liberty shining bright around the world. May we all strive to be worthy of their sacrifices for us.

오늘, 우리는 미국 재향군인 세대들을 기립니다 – 자유의 최전방에 서서 전세계에 걸쳐 빛나는 자유의 빛을 지켜낸 애국자들입니다. 우리를 위한 그들의 희생이 가치있게 하기위해서 우리는 모두 분투해야 합니다.

We're the only nation in the world built on the idea that we are all created equal. We haven't always lived up to it. But we've never walked away from it. And today, as we honor those who've given everything to our nation, we must say clearly: We never will.

우리는 전 세계에서 유일하게 우리 모두가 평등하게 태어났다는 생각을 기반으로 만들어진 나라입니다.

우리는 항상 그것에 맞춰 살아가지는 못했습니다. 하지만 우리는 그것을 외면한 적은 없습니다. 그리고 오늘, 자신의 모든 것을 나라에 바친 사람들을 기리며 우리는 분명히 얘기합니다: 우리는 결코 외면하지 않을 것이라고.

Today I met with President-elect Trump in the Oval Office.
I look forward to leading a smooth transition and peaceful transfer of power.
