It's been a year since the Supreme Court struck down my Administration's plan to get 40 million Americans life-changing student debt relief.

It's simple: Republican elected officials and special interests couldn't bear the thought of hardworking folks getting relief, so they sued.

대법원이 4천만 미국인들의 인생을 바꾸는 학생 채무 면제에 관한 제 행정부의 계획을 무너뜨린지 1년이 지났습니다. 그것은 간단합니다: 공화당이 법관을 선출했고 특별 이익 집단은 열심히 일하는 사람들이 도움을 받는 다는 생각을 참을수 없었을 겁니다. 그래서 그들은 소송한 것입니다.

Today, my Administration is extending overtime protections to 1 million workers making under $43,888. And next year, we extend protections to 3 million more workers by increasing the threshold to $58,656. 

오늘, 제 행정부는 43,888 달러 미만을 버는 백만 노동자들을 위해 초과 근무에 대한 보호를  확대합니다. 그리고 내년에는 그 보호에 대한 기준치를 58,656 달러로 높여, 삼백만명 노동자들을 추가로 보호할 것입니다. 

Each of us is equal before the law. No one is above it – not even a president. With today's Supreme Court decision on Presidential immunity, there are now virtually no limits on what a president can do. That is a new, dangerous precedent.

우리 개개인은 법 앞에 모두 평등합니다. 그 누구도 그 위에 있지 않습니다 – 심지어 대통령도 마찬가지입니다. 오늘 대법원의 '트럼프대통령 면책'에 대한 결정으로 사실상 대통령이 할 수 있는 것에 제한이 없게 됐습니다. 그것은 새롭고, 위험한 선례입니다.

Today I signed the National Plan to End Parkinson's Act – a law that will help prevent, treat, and cure Parkinson's disease and similar disorders.

This law is about dignity. It gives people hope that we can end this cruel disease and that we can still do big things.

저는 오늘 국가적 계획으로 파킨슨병 종료법에 서명했습니다. 이는 파킨슨병 그리고 유사한 장애에 대한 예방과 치료, 완치에 도움을 줄 것입니다.

이 법안은 존엄성에 대한 것입니다. 그것은 사람들에게 우리가 고통스러운 질병을 끝낼 수 있으며, 아직 큰 일들을 할 수 있다는 희망을 줍니다.
