바이든 "아사드 정권의 몰락은 위험과 불확실성 내포"

At long last, the Assad regime has fallen. The fall of this regime is a fundamental act of justice. 
It is a moment of historic opportunity for the long-suffering people of Syria to build a better future for their country.  It is also a moment of risk and uncertainty.

오랜 시간이 걸렸지만 아사드의 정권이 무너졌습니다. 이 정권의 몰락은 정의의 근본적인 조치입니다. 이것은 오랜 기간 고통 받던 시리아 국민들이 그들의 나라를 위해 더 나은 미래를 만들 수 있도록 하는 역사적인 기회의 순간입니다. (한편으론) 아사드 정권의 몰락은 위험과 불확실성을 내포하고 있습니다. 

Last night, for the final time, Jill and I were honored to recognize and respect the power of the arts to literally redeem the soul of our nation. Congratulations to our 2024 Kennedy Center Honorees.

어젯밤, 마지막으로 영부인과 저는 그야말로 우리나라의 영혼을 구하는 예술의 힘을 인식하고 존경을 표할 수 있게 되어 영광이었습니다. 2024년 케네디 센터 아너스 수상자들에게 축하의 말을 전합니다. 

Most economists agree the new administration will inherit the strongest economy in the world. It is my hope they will preserve and build on this progress.
Like most great economic developments, this one is neither red nor blue. It's American progress.

대부분의 경제학자들은 새로운 정권이 전 세계에서 가장 강력한 경제를 물려받게 된다고 생각하고 있습니다. 그들이 이 과정을 보존하고 발전시키길 소망하고 있습니다. 대부분의 위대한 경제 발전이 그러한 것처럼, 이것은 정치적 성향과 무관합니다. 이것은 미국 전체의 진전입니다. 

I believe the only way for a president to lead America is to lead all of America. And I believe the economy I am leaving America is the best in the world and stronger than ever for all Americans.

저는 대통령이 미국을 이끄는 유일한 방법은 미국 전체를 이끄는 것이라고 생각합니다. 그리고 저는 제가 미국에 남기는 경제가 모든 미국 사람들을 위한 경제로써 역사상 전 세계에서 가장 좋으며 강력하다고 생각합니다. 

Today, I'm pardoning 39 people with non-violent crimes who have demonstrated remorse and rehabilitation, and I'm commuting the sentences of nearly 1,500 others – many of whom would have received lower sentences today. America was built on second chances. That's what these pardons and commutations represent.

오늘 저는 깊은 반성과 재활을 보여준 비폭력 범죄자 39명을 사면하려고 합니다. 또 1500명에 가까운 다른 사람들에 대해 감형 결정을 할 것입니다. 그 중 대다수는 오늘날 더 낮은 수준의 형을 받았을 사람들입니다. 미국은 실패를 딛고 다시 설수 있는 기회에 의해 건설됐습니다. 그게 이번 사면과 감형이 뜻하는 것입니다.
