Yesterday I met with President Xi for a candid, constructive discussion on a range of bilateral, regional, and global issues. We both underscored the importance of maintaining a responsible channel of communication between the United States and China.

어제 저는 쌍방, 지역, 국제적인 이슈 전반에 대해 솔직하고 건설적인 논의를 위해 시진핑 국가주석을 만났습니다. 우리는 둘 다 미국과 중국 간의 책임감 있는 소통 창구를 유지하는 것의 중요성에 대해 강조했습니다.

It was great to meet with Prime Minister Trudeau of Canada and Prime Minister Meloni of Italy today at the G20. We will continue to strengthen our alliances to make the world a better, safer place.

캐나다의 쥐스탱 트뤼도 총리와 이탈리아의 조르자 멜로니 총리를 오늘 G20 회의에서 뵙게 되어 반가웠습니다. 우리는 계속해서 세상을 더 낫게, 그리고 더 안전하게 만들기 위해 우리의 동맹을 더욱 강화할 것입니다.

This week I joined World Bank President Banga to announce the United States will pledge $4 billion over 3 years to the replenishment of IDA – the arm of the World Bank that supports vulnerable countries.

We ask that others join us in stepping up their pledges.

이번주에 저는 아제이 방가 세계은행 총재를 만나  취약한 나라를 지원하는 세계은행의 한 부문인 국재 개발 협회에 미국이 3년 간 40억 달러를  보충해주기로 서약할 것이라고 발표했습니다. 

우리는 다른 사람들도 그들의 약속에 대해 속도를 내어 우리와 함께 하기를 요청드립니다.

Today, I had the honor of awarding Cecile Richards the Presidential Medal of Freedom. With absolute courage, she fearlessly leads us forward to be the America we say we are – a nation of freedom. Through her work to lift up the dignity of workers, defend and advance women's reproductive rights and equality, and mobilize Americans to exercise their power to vote, she has carved an inspiring legacy.
 
오늘 저는 세실 리처즈에게 자유의 대통령 메달을 수여하는 영광을 가졌습니다. 순수한 용기를 갖고, 그녀는 두려움 없이 우리가 말하는 우리 미국이 '자유의 나라'가 되도록 앞으로 이끌었습니다. 노동자의 존엄성을 높이는 그녀의 노력을 통해 여성의 생식 권리 및 양성평등을 보호하고 증진시켰습니다. 미국인들로 하여금 투표권 행사를 해 그들의 힘을 발휘하도록 독려했습니다. 그녀는 영감을 주는 유산을 남겼습니다.
 
I've been fighting Big Pharma since I was a Senator, back in the days when they couldn't be touched. That's why one of the proudest things I've ever done was pass the Inflation Reduction Act that allowed us to negotiate lower prices for drugs. Together, we beat Big Pharma.
