To all the survivors and families who've had their lives and livelihoods torn apart by Hurricane Helene: We've got a lot of work ahead of us. But I see you. And your nation has your back.

I'm calling on Congress to pass a comprehensive disaster package to provide the necessary resources for communities like those facing the aftermath of Hurricane Helene – to know that help will be ongoing, not just in the short-term, but the long-term as well.

Kamala and I said it yesterday and I'll say it again: To anyone who seeks to take advantage of fellow Americans' desperation – whether you're a company engaging in price gouging or a citizen trying to scam your neighbors – you will be held accountable.
